Croix Rouge de Belgique
For over 150 years, the primary mission of the Belgian Red Cross has been to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable. One of its missions is to help improve health, prevent disease and alleviate suffering.
Through its network of local entities throughout Wallonia and Brussels, the Belgian Red Cross provides essential aid to those who need it most. The Red Cross Houses also offer multiple services to the general public, such as paramedical equipment rental.
From its 130 or so depots, the Red Cross offers a wide range of equipment for rental and sale, with personalized support: medical beds, wheelchairs, crutches, etc. In order to comply with regulatory requirements and improve the efficiency of its distribution activities, the Red Cross was looking for a company that could support them in their approach.
Our team supported the Red Cross Quality Manager in setting up an appropriate quality management system that met the specific requirements of their operating mode.
To this end, COVARTIM provided a series of training sessions for the people involved in the project, while sharing its documentary tools based on ISO 13485, MDR 2017/745 and Good Distribution Practices (FAMHP), thus saving considerable time in terms of implementation. Several work sessions led to the adaptation and customization of these tools to best suit Red Cross activities.
Today, the Red Cross quality management system is operational. The process managers are now ready to implement it in the various entities (Red Cross houses) and continue their activities.
