CREATIVE LIFETIME VALIDATION OF HAIR RESTORATION DEVICE

 

 

Background

Devroye Instruments is the brainchild of Dr Jean Devroye, a renowned Belgian surgeon and entrepreneur in the field of hair restoration. Dr Devroye developed a novel device for hair transplantation. As part of the regulatory requirements, Dr Devroye needed to demonstrate the long-term durability and performance of the device. However, he lacked the time, technical resources and experience to develop a proper test method himself.

 

How We Helped

COVARTIM took full ownership of the lifetime validation of the device. We engineered an automated, repeatable test setup to simulate the mechanical impact of thousands of uses. We wrote custom software to simulate the motion patterns performed during hair transplant procedures. Our comprehensive approach was accepted by the Notified Body, bolstering their pending CE submission.

 

Our R&D support was part of a larger collaboration with Devroye Instruments as we established a long term partnership which included regulatory, quality, and product development expertise.

Our involvement extended far beyond lifetime validation and included:
